Reverie

Created by Kate Maude & Jessica Orcsik

It’s Kaitlyn’s senior year, and although she’s about to realize her dreams with a scholarship to Yale, she’s facing significant life challenges. Including popularity, social anxiety, and she’s yet to navigate the complexities of romance and sex. Her best friend, Beanie, is her primary confidant and only advisor in all matters of life and relationships. There’s just one problem: Beanie is imaginary.

Inspired by Marjorie Taylor’s book, the film delves into why children (and sometimes adults) create imaginary companions, suggesting that these creations are not merely escapism but a sophisticated form of mental play that aids in emotional regulation and problem-solving.
